Please note: for those not familiar with the Veglia designed speedo drives, here are some key points that must be understood and adhered to before fitment.

Veglia speedo drives were originally designed to take a much shorter speedo cable than those used on Triumph motorcycles. However, the Veglia speedo drive functions as required as long as the speedo cable is not frayed, kinked, not lubricated or damaged. This type of neglect will excessively put abnormal load on the speedo drive and ultimately damage the drive.

Speedometers that are faulty with poor functioning internals can also damage the speedo drive

Speedo cables should be lubricated with the correct amount of light grade oil as specified in workshop manuals and no grease is to be used.

As specified in any workshop manuals, regular maintenance must be performed at the designated intervals to insure serviceable lifespan of motorcycle components.

If the above guidelines are followed then the Veglia speedo drive will perform without issue. If in doubt we strongly recommend that this product be fitted by a qualified motorcycle mechanic.
